OK, Art Time!
DISCLAIMER: I like Astro Boy. I have nothing against the character, and I know Mega Man probably wouldn't exist if tit wasn't for him. With that being said, I still think Mega Man is way cooler, and since I've gotten into numerous "debates" with my friends about it. I felt it was time for me to up the ante ;)
I didn't want to spend to much time on this, so I left the line art in a Rough Clean state. This was really more about getting the idea out of my head, and adding a little bit of color and shading to spruce it up.
I drew this one up for Halloween 2012, but I had never gotten around to finishing it until recently. If you haven't figured it out, it's me as Terry Bogard. He's easily one of, if not my favorite fighting game character, and since I had no idea what to go as for Halloween last year, I picked him. I tried to emulate Paul Robertson's style for this one because his 8-bit art style goes oh so well with anything video game related. I find it's also very reminiscent of one of SNK's biggest titles, Metal Slug. I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I'm particularly proud of the background on this. I wanted to do something more stylized than just a gradient or white backdrop, so I had the idea of incorporating most of Terry's very quotable lines with his white star logo.
I did this one 12 hours before Valentines day so I could post it up on Facebook for my girlfriend to see. I went for a greyscale look with hints of color to A) try something new and B) save time! I'm happy to report that she liked it. And so did my friends who decided to spoof the drawings with hilarious versions of their own. I'll put em' next time.
This drawings was part of a 30 day challenge myself and bunch of other artist I've met through work or school participate in. The month of December was winter themed, and different days would have us draw different things to fit said theme! I only manged to finish 2 days; Sweater and Snow Fight. So I decided to have the Hulk wearing one of those tacky, itchy sweater that never seem to rip. As for the snow ball fight, I had Korra and Sub-Zero duke it out in a friendly sparring match. Both drawings where fun to work on. The snow ball fight was particularly challenging due to the snow effects and all the tiny details I had to color on Sub-Zero! I think I'll just draw them naked next time, lol.
Now this drawing was really cool to work on. It was another 30 day challenge submission, this time for the month of October, so it was Halloween/creature themed. The day I chose was mermaid/merman but I wanted to do something more bad ass. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. It gave me a chance to step out of my comfort zone a little and try something different.
I think I drew this when I was on my way to visit my friends in Vancouver. I originally wanted to draw a curvy girl walking, and it somehow turn into Ninja lady with a kunai in hand, and her boob showing. Clearly, I was channeling my inner 14 year old for this one :p
Just a quick sketch of my lady sans bra. Curvy girls FTW!
It's been years since I've drawn Goku, especially as a kid, so I felt it was time to show him some love! If I had to fix one thing on this drawing, it would be the arc his tail has... Yea, I'm gonna have to go back to this one and reverse the arc.
I was messing around with the marker brush on Sketchbook Pro and ended up with a Superman drawing.
I drew this last summer as joke to my friend. So suave!!
That's all she ( i mean he) wrote folks! If you took the time to look and read through all of this you're either really bored or have a better attention span than me. Or maybe, just maybe, ya liked what you saw. In any case, thanks for taking the time to look at my stuff. Be seeing ya! :)
